I'm super excited with the D3! I believe that it's definitely worth the molah. We have yet to use it on an actual wedding which is tomorrow na, but we have tested it using different ISO's in various lighting conditions and true enough, it's AMAZING! Will post pictures of actual weddings soon. For the meantime ito muna mga pics namin. :)

Guinea Pics?

I found some shots that I've been meaning to post (but haven't really gotten around to doing it) while I was cleaning up my desktop. Thought I'd share it. These were my practice shots and my photoshop guinea pigs or should I say guinea pics?

Battle Gear

After a lot of discussions & considerations (mainly about the price..hehehe) we finally got the nikkor 85mm f/1.4 lens. We always have problems with poorly lit churches & reception venues, though we have our own lighting system, sometimes it's not just enough to get the shots that we want. So now we're really hoping that with this lens it will be easier for us to capture those unexpected moments where we don't have time to think about lighting and stuff...Will post sample shots soon!

WHAT'S ON OUR WISH LIST

This!

It's official! Nikon will release 2 new cameras come November, the D3 & D300. Whoohooo!

We're drooling over the D3 until we found out that the estimated price is 5k USD! My eyes nearly popped out of its socket! I can see our out of the country vacation going down the drain...or maybe not! Let's see...price hike? Hehe...

Anyways, check it out here if you're a nikonian and haven't heard/read the news yet or if you're a canon loyalist and just curious as to the specs.

Can't wait to see what this baby can do!

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows

We have been waiting for this, the end of it all. Although I have been expecting a different ending, I'm glad she (J.K. Rowling) made it this way. Definitely an excellent read. The one with the most action among all the others. I will surely miss Harry, his friends and their adventures...

Trip To The E.R.

After 3 straight weddings during the weekend, my Monday started quite normally. Woke up at around 2pm (since I slept 6am na and galing pa kami sa 3 weddings!), had lunch, checked emails, etc...Come 2am, we went down to eat some left over carenderia food (from dinner). At 3am, I started having epigastric pains accompanied with a trip to you-know-where. I immediately took kremil-s since this has worked for me for quite some time now, thinking that this time would be no different. I thought wrong! The pain persisted and I was not able to sleep at all. At around 5:30am nagsuka nako! Then 7am, suka na naman! I told Paul, this is it na. We have to go to the E.R. He's been telling me na we have to go sa hospital nung hindi nawala pain 1 hour after I took the kremil-s, but since I was very sleepy na kasi nga 3 days halos wala sleep, kala ko maitutulog ko yung pain, hindi pala talaga. So go na kami sa E.R. ng Capitol Med. They gave me one dose of Prevacid and thank God, nawala pain! So relieved! Maintain ko muna meds for 2 weeks and avoid coffee, softdrinks and other caffeinated stuff, lalo na syempre avoid skipping meals. But being the hard headed person that I am, di parin nakatiis, we had a meeting kanina at Starbucks 6750 and uminom parin ng kape! Konti lang naman, nakiinom lang kay Paul. Who could resist caramel macchiato??? Yumyum!

Crazy With Crocs!

I have not gone out of the house for 3 days straight and I was a bit restless. So yesterday Paul and I went out to clear our minds from work. We did some grocery shopping mostly of canned goods and instant noodles! Yes, we're eating junk most of the time! No time to cook, so what we do is buy from the carenderia across the street or just open libby's viena sausage & eat right out of the can. Way too unhealthy I know.

Anyway, we checked out this new mall Tri Noma. It's still under construction but some stores are now open. I like the concept of the mall..There's an open area, like a park, where you can hang out with your friends or your special someone. I think it's really cool. The cinemas are nice too. They put 6 semi private areas with 2 lazy-boy-like seats in I guess 3 of the 7 cinemas for a more comfortable movie experience. It's more expensive than the regular seats (it's 260 bucks per person) but hey, it's a darn good way to watch a movie.

Now with the crocs thing..Found their store at, where else, Tri Noma! So comfortable..Love it! It looks kinda funny though, reminds me of those O.R slippers we used to wear, minus the weight and the holes of course. But the comfort...Ahhh, priceless! You can even accessorize it with designs called "Jibbitz". Suweeet!'

Got this color and 2 jibbitz, a butterfly & a flower, one for each clog...

Back to Blogging (I hope)

After the December rush, we're finally able to breathe again! Oh, and sleep longer than 4 hours too. Now on with post production...the fun never stops!

Anyways, just want to share a couple of pictures I took of the Pyrolympics. We were covering a wedding at Coconut Palace so I have a pretty decent view of the spectacular fireworks display.
